Overview

The IPPC-2636A is a four slot IndustryPack carrier which connects to the PMC Expansion connector on the Motorola 2600 and 3600 series PowerPC Processors. It is a 6U VME format card but all communication with the processor is done through the PMC Expansion connector. It does not have any connections to the VME bus except power and ground. The IPPC-2636A adds a broad range of I/O and memory capabilities to MVME2600 and MVM3600 systems and is appropriate for rugged industrial and commercial configurations. The IPPC-2636A provides full support for the IndustryPack standard. Each IndustryPack slot may be individually configured for either 8 MHz or 32 MHz operation. The carrier supports four single-wide IPs, two double-wide or a combination. Both byte and 16 bit word accesses are supported from the host processor to the IndustryPacks.
